will be looking at. >> lisa stark thank you. >> thank you. >> in other news, the obama administration says the health insurance website has vastly improved. the administration has spent two months fixing the glitches in the health care reform law. mike viqueria, are all the problems fixed? >> well, not all the problems are fixed but the white house spokesman just moments ago jay carney speaking for the president believes that the website has significantly improved and they have met their threshold for the vast majority of citizens who sign on. 90% will have a successful experience and will be able to enroll through the website. night and day is how the top official that the president put in charge of having this website up and functioning by november 30th, last saturday, says the difference is between october 1st, and the end of november. the problem is, that it's two months, two months that were virtually lost where people could not enroll on the website and now it's crunch time. some of the other metrics they put out, the error rate is less than 1%, when earlier i.t. was 6%, other websit

he continue to see that. thank you. >> the obama administration said it has met it's deadline to fix the healthcare.gov website. the administration promised all would be well in november. we will gather to the white house with more details, mike, this was a big deadline for the administration. are all the problems with the website solved? >> reporter: they aren't all solved but they say its like night and day after that disastrous launch of octobe october 1st. they cite certain benchmarks, certain metrics, error rates down to 1%. they were 6% at the outset of this debacle in the estimation of administration officials. as many as 800,000 a day and they achieved 90% functionality. you recall that by the end of last month, november 31st they had promised an 80% functionality. by their own estimation they have exceeded that. but that's by their own estimation. for the time being we'll have to take their word for it. it's all a anecdotal at this point. there are questions about the website's security when people are entering sensitive personal information and data, and about insurers on
for joining us at noon. i'm andrea roane. the obama administration is reporting a dramatic improvement in the healthcare website. as tara mergener reports, there are still plenty of challenges ahead. >> reporter: the frantic work to fix the government's healthcare website is starting to pay off. president obama's technology troubleshooters say healthcare.gov can now handle 50,000 users at that time a time, or up to 800,000 each day. advisor jeffrey zion said the site now works most of the time for most users. >> we executed hundreds of software fixes, and hardware upgrades. and the site is now stable and operating at its intended capacity, with greatly improved performance. >> reporter: the department of health and human services said system failures have fallen from 6% in october to less than 1%. and responses have declined from 8 minutes to less than one. the obama administration had promised the fixes by this past weekend. congress is watching closely, because the success or failure of healthcare reform is expected to be a critical factor in next year's midterm elections. already th

january 1st. obama administration officials now admitting the records of roughly a quarter of the people who signed up on the site in october and november may have errors, big time mistakes. this month it could be one in ten. the errors involve electronic forms sent to insurers with people's information and if insurers don't have the right data they cannot complete the enrollment. joining us now to talk about it, susan, congressional correspondent for the washington examiner. good to see you. >> hi. >> for the first two months, one in four people who actually managed to sign up for obama care and that's not many, they didn't actually sign up for it. it strikes me as leading to utter chaos come january 1 when people try to go see their doctor and the doctor says, sorry, your insurance company has no record that you exist. >> that's right. there are some important details that came out of a press call from the center for medicare and medicaid late last week. one was -- the two numbers you just talked about, one in four people who signed up in beginning in october, that's still a big number
